Actæon is a further development of the Schooner Boat Project. These designs grow out of my lifelong explorations of New England’s Fishing schooners.

Actæon approaches my ideal for a burdensome and powerful schooner adapted to a variety of missions in our difficult times.

Actæon is named after the schooner in Shoal Hope.

Shoal Hope Title block

Actæon is to be traditionally built with sawn frames and a mixture of inside and outside ballast.

Actæon:

LBP:          57′-4″

LWL:         44′-5″

Beam:     13′-10″

Draft:         7′-9″

Disp.:       64,000 lbs.
